Angela P. Scherzinger
(1938-2023)
Angela Patricia Scherzinger (née Soriano) passed away peacefully on May 3, 2023 at Meadowood Senior Living Community with her children by her side.
Angela was the loving and devoted wife to the late Dr. Felix Scherzinger, MD. She was a wonderful mother to her three children, David, Melite, and Felix Scherzinger.
Angela was born on June 22, 1938, in Newark, New Jersey to Frank and Nancy Soriano. Raised in South Orange, New Jersey, Angela graduated from Our Lady of Sorrows School and Columbia High School. After attending business school, she was employed as a secretary at Warner-Lambert Pharmaceutical Company in Morris Plains, New Jersey.
Angela and Felix were married on October 3, 1964 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in South Orange. They lived briefly in South Orange and then in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania before settling in Lansdale, Pennsylvania in 1966. Angela devoted her life to raising a family and supporting her husband as he established North Penn Pediatrics, currently the True North Pediatrics at North Penn.
While raising their young children, Angela and Felix regularly hosted children sponsored by The Fresh Air Fund. These experiences created rich and beautiful lasting memories for the Scherzinger family. A life-long learner, Angela was an avid reader of cookbooks, short stories and enjoyed taking classes in English literature and Italian at Montgomery County Community College.
During her retirement years, she and her husband traveled across the country and abroad, settling in Florida during the winter months. Angela joined the Abington Adult Day Services community in 2019. Known at ADS as “Our Sweet Angelina”, she was the second generation of the Scherzinger family to attend the program. She and her children loved being part of the ADS family.
Angela will be remembered for her steadfast Catholic faith, her deep love for her family, her loyalty to her friends, her superb gourmet cooking skills and her generous, warm hospitality to all who met and knew her. In addition to her children David, Melite, and Felix, Angela is survived by her sister, Eleanor Neumann of Ellicott City, Maryland and her cousin Alex Giordano (Bonnie) of Florham Park, New Jersey.
