Gerhard (Gary) Herman Bold of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 16, 2023 after a brief illness.

Gary, the son of Martha (Moll) Bold and Adolf Herman Bold, born April 20, 1944 in Germantown, Pennsylvania, was 79 years old. While living in Lafayette Hill, Gary was a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in 1962. Gary was popular with his classmates, was well known for his intellect and mastery of complex topics, and was always willing to tutor others. These characteristics led him to acquire a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Drexel University in 1967, a Master of Science degree from Catholic University in 1971, and ultimately he became a physics and math professor at Montgomery County Community College. He moved into the private sector later in life, working for Unisys until his retirement.

In his younger years, Gary was an avid skier, making trips to New England, Colorado and Europe as often as possible.

He devoted much of his later years to the role of primary caregiver for his ill mother and lived a very private life full of reading, music, and investigation of the latest in scientific theory.

He is survived by cousins and extended family in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
