Alzira Corrado, 62, of East Norriton, PA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 7, 2023 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after a short but courageous battle with colon cancer.
Alzira was born on January 2, 1961, in Vale de Cambra, Portugal, to Maria and Augusto da Costa. She immigrated to the United States on August 4, 1974.
She was married to her husband, Franco Corrado, for 44 years and together they had 3 children; Concetta, Anna Maria and Angelo. One of her greatest joys was spending time with and feeding her grandchildren; Angelo, Henry and Luca. She was a woman of many talents and always placed the needs of her family and others above herself. She also loved to cook, garden, crochet and spend time outdoors.
She is survived by her husband, Franco; children, Concetta, Angelo and Anna Maria; grandchildren, Angelo, Henry and Luca; mother, Maria da Costa and siblings, Joaquim (Silvia) and Daniel (Erin); nieces and nephews; Augusto, Daniel, Jonathan, Isabel, Sofia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Visitation B.V.M. Catholic Church, 190 N. Trooper Road, Norristown, PA 19403, where the family will greet friends and family from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in Church prior to Mass. Private interment to follow.
