Michael J. Walsh, aka Mike “Champagne” Walsh, age 75, a long-time resident of North Wales, Pa., died in Lansdale, Pa. on October 31, 2023.

Michael was born September 19, 1948, to his late parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Walsh. 
He graduated from Lansdale Catholic in 1967. 

Mike served Honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. 

He was employed by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, where he was given the nickname Champagne Mike.  

Mike belonged to the German Wine Society and enjoyed traveling.

From a young age he was a passionate sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles.

Born a natural optimist he looked at life with a great sense of humor.

Mike had a strong love of the Lord, was gentle in his nature and was always willing to help a friend.  

He was one of eight children and was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
Surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mike’s Funeral Service on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446, where friends may call beginning at 9:00 AM, prior to the Service.

Mike will then be interred with his family at St. Stanislaus Church Cemetery.
