Richard Peter Proietto, Sr., age 88, of Neshaminy Falls in North Wales, passed away at his home on November 19, 2023.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Alberta (nee. Nariskus) Proietto.

Born in Bridgeport, PA., he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (nee. Interrante) Proietto.

He worked as a Facilities Director at Nursing Homes, prior to his retirement.

Mr. Proietto served his country honorably during the Korean War era as a proud member of the United States Marine Corp.

He attended Antioch University and earned his bachelor’s degree.

Mr. Proietto enjoyed reading and eventually became an author and free-lance writer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his son Richard P. Proietto, Jr in June of 2020 as well as three brothers.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Proietto’s viewing on Monday morning, December 4, 2023, at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, with a brief service to follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM, later on Monday afternoon, at Washington’s Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940, where the Marine Corp will render full Military Honors. All family and friends, planning on attending are asked to arrive at Washington’s Crossing National Cemetery no later than 2:00 PM as per the cemetery’s rules and regulations.
