James E. Bason, age 64, of Harleysville, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Born on July 22, 1959, in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late Joan (nee. Pealer) and James H. Bason.
He graduated from Neshaminy High School and was employed at Hope Industries for over 40 years.
Jim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
An avid nature and animal lover, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking.
Some of his fondest memories were spending time at his vacation home in the Pocono mountains, walking through the state game lands and sitting around the fire pit. He also enjoyed watching every sport, from baseball to bowling and golf, but he especially loved cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Later in life, Jim gained an appreciation for playing bingo and became a regular at the community clubhouse game.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Theresa, his children Edward Bason, his wife Nicole, Carol Freddo, her husband William, granddaughter Emma Bason, and his pups Rocco and Bella.
He was preceded in death by his son Ernie Bason, and grandpups Spike and Ivan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on, Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446, where his family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 12:50 PM, prior to the Service.
Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.
