Rose Zadlo–3/15/2024

Rose Zadlo, age 107, of Lansdale passed away on Friday evening, March 15, 2024, at Gwynedd Health Care and Rehabilitation. She had been in failing health.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Anthony Zadlo on July 30, 1989.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late, Michael and Rose (nee Manjiardi) Purri.
Upon moving to Lansdale at the age of 5, she began attending St. Stanislaus Elementary School, as a member of one of the first classes.

Years later she graduated from Hatfield High School.

During her younger years she began caring for young children in her home and often helped raise several generations of the same families.  

She was a volunteer at Elm Terrace Hospital, which was later named North Penn Hospital, and worked in the pediatric ward.

During WWII she took nursing courses through the Red Cross Program.

Mrs. Zadlo was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Hobbies included reading, doing crossword puzzles and especially cooking for her family.
Her greatest love in life was for her large family and as the generations grew, she made sure to be present at every important event throughout the years.

Surviving are her two loving sons, Anthony (preceded by his wife Barbara) and Edward Zadlo, son-in-law Earl Alcott, grandchildren, Anthony, Jeanne, Robin, Susan, Butch, Cherie, Joseph and Michael, eleven great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Patricia Ann Alcott (wife of Earl), brothers, Charles and Joseph Purri, sisters, Frances and Cherie Purri, and Patricia Tereshinski as well as her great grandson Matthew Alcott.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Zadlo’s viewing from 9:30 to 10:20 AM on Thursday morning, March 21, 2024, at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446, which will be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:30 AM.
Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.

Earth was a better place because she was in it and now, Lord, willing you are now in our Heavenly Father‘s Arms and singing praises, 🙏🏾✝️💝💕🫶🥳 what a life you lived, so extraordinary!
