Elsie Creegan, aged 79, died February 25, 2024, at her home in Lake Worth, Fl.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Elsie spent most of her life in Bucks and Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania before moving full time to Lake Worth in 2017. She taught chemistry and biology classes at Council Rock High School in Newtown, PA.
n Florida she was extremely active with her friends at St. Matthew Church in Lake Worth and the Council of Catholic Women, having served as President of the CCW from 2009 to 2011 and as Leadership Chairwoman of the CCW from 2021-2024. She also served as President of the Southern Deanery for Palm Beach Diocese from 2019-2021.
She was one of four daughters of the late Anthony and Rose Delpup Santin. Elsie was the beloved wife of Joseph J. Creegan who predeceased her in 2015. She is survived by her sister Josephine Santin, five children: Joseph Creegan Jr, Colleen Dougherty, Erin Kurpiel, Timarie Creegan, and Chris Toft, fifteen grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. Elsie was preceded in death by one son, Robert F. Toft Jr, one daughter, Patricia J. Creegan, and two sisters Rose Marie Santin Pizzuti and Lydia Santin Bulkley.
Funeral services will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, PA at 10:30am on April 13, 2024. The family will receive friends at the Church from 9:30-10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elsie’s name may be made to St. Matthew Council of Catholic Women, 6090 Hypoluxo Rd, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33463.
