Thomas J Johnston Jr (Tom) passed away on March 16, 2024, at Jefferson Abington Hospital in Abington, PA after a short battle with lung cancer. He was living in Hatfield, PA at the time of his death.

He was the son of the Thomas J Johnston Sr and Janet R Johnston (Nebhut) of Willow Grove, PA

Tom grew up in Philadelphia and Willow Grove, PA. He attended Cardinal Dougherty High School and Upper Moreland Senior High School.

For 30 years he had his own business, Tom’s Tree Care, until he retired in 2020. He learned the trade from his uncle, Carl Nebhut Sr. when he was just a teenager.

Tom avidly followed all of the Philadelphia sports teams. He was one of the Eagles’ biggest fans.

He is survived by his daughters, Kim Johnston, Chrissy Johnston Carlton, Gina Kligerman, and Angelisa Gray, grandchildren, David, Stephanie, Dalton, Arrianna, Tritan, Justin, Gabrielle & Celeste, great granddaughter, Aria, as well as one sister, Lynne Johnston Worsfold and lots of cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Tom’s Funeral Service on, Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11 AM at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446.  There will be a receiving time beginning at 10:30 AM, prior to the Service.
