Butch always considered himself a Southern “Good Old Boy” and a true “Redneck.”
He was an avid fisherman, loved Kung Fu movies and watching the News.
On December 14, 1974, he married his wife of 49 years, Barbara N. Cope, and their marriage was sealed on August 20, 1999, at the Orlando, Florida Temple. His wife Barbara writes that their family of 9 children was his, mine and ours but not the “Brady Bunch.”

In addition to his parents and brothers, he was preceded by three sons, Steven Anthony, Sr, Tommy Edward, and Milton, Jr as well as one daughter, Karen L. (nee Ferguson) Clarke Brophy and other relatives.
Mrs. Cope expressed that she is sorry that she can’t name everyone by name, but the entire family is simply too big, and she wouldn’t want to forget anyone. She added that while Butch, didn’t always see everyone, he thought of you often and loved you dearly.

Sorry for your loss. I didn’t know. He spent a lot of time with my Dad and our family before Dad pasted.
A good man. We spent teenage years together. Butch was always fun to be around. May he RIP.
we didn’t quite make it to our 50th, my country bumpkin, but behave yourself up there. We have eternity together. All my love. Barbara
