James Pulli (Jim), age 90, of Colmar, passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital on Friday, April 26, 2024, while surrounded by his family.
Born on July 20, 1933, in Ambler, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Concetta (nee Pugliese) Pulli.
He was preceded in death by his 4 siblings, Angelo, Marian, Katherine, and Molly.
On November 7, 1953, he began his 70-year marriage to his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life, Lois (nee Pedigree) Pulli.
After completing his High School education, he went to Temple University night school, while working full time and raising 4 children. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 for Horticulture and Landscape design.
He was a second-generation employee for Temple University where he taught and earned the respect from many of his students who continued to maintain friendships with him long after their graduation. In gratitude for his long years of hard work he was commended by Temple University, winning the Employee Appreciation Award for outstanding service.
He worked annually creating beautiful displays at the Philadelphia flower show.
In the community of Hatfield township, he was the chairman and creator of the Hatfield shade tree commission.
Mr. Pulli designed the landscaping for the railway station in Lansdale in the late 1970s.
He proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean war.
In his 20s he was a member of a band and was a wonderful musician. When it came to music his talent was unlimited. He was a guitar expert, he sang, and played almost any instrument handed to him including the piano and harmonica. His love of music of all generations was instilled in his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Pulli enjoyed traveling with his family and had a keen passion for knowledge, nature and people which was only surpassed by his love for his family, which was immeasurable.
Surviving are his beloved wife Lois, of Colmar, his daughters, Louise Phillips and her husband Tom of Macungie, Linda Grindle and her husband Scott of Quakertown and Diana Snyder and her husband Dave also of Quakertown and his son Jim Pulli of Colmar as well as 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, where his family will receive friends at his viewing from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, in Church, prior to Mass. Interment will follow Mass at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Families and friends are then invited to gather for lunch at The Spring House Tavern.

Pop was an extraordinary man and there are so many moments and things he taught me that I hold dear and will forever cherish. May he rest in peace, after living such a full and meaningful life. And may you all find peace within your grief and continue to feel his love.
