Nancy Williams Calvitti
December 14, 1942 – May 14, 2024
Nancy Williams Calvitti, 81, of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 14, 2024. Nancy was a country music lover and her favorite song, “Paint Me a Birmingham” was playing when she passed. She and her husband, Ray, shared 58 years of marriage. Nancy’s favorite concert experience was meeting Travis Tritt in person after one of his shows. Nancy never wavered in requesting all her favorite songs during her final days. Her warm and generous spirit was felt by the numerous visitors coming to see her and inquiring about her well-being.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Karl Anthony Williams and Marie Williams (nee Kelly). Nancy attended Incarnation of Our Lord Elementary School. She then attended Cecilian Academy High School. Nancy stayed in touch with many of her classmates and helped organize school reunions. She and Ray met when they were in high school. They attended countless dances with friends, including the Water Tower Social Club and Gellerts. The young couple were married on May 28, 1966. Nancy and Ray enjoyed summers down the shore in Stone Harbor with family and friends always stopping by for barbecue, cocktails, and a lot of laughs at the Calvitti Fun House. She and Ray enjoyed several years of traveling together to many different locales. From sun-soaked beach trips to Acapulco, London via the Concorde, and on the seas adventures aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2. Nancy enjoyed antiquing and what Ray called her knack for gift-giving as a “black belt” in shopping.
Surviving are her devoted husband Ray, brother-in-law, Bob McNeill (husband of Nancy’s late sister, Eileen), brothers Karl Williams (Sally) and David Williams (the late Gerrie), children: Denise Studnick (Keith), Vincent (Anaid), Anthony (Kathy), and nine grandchildren: Emilie, Hannah, Rebecca, Lauren, Grace, Gabriela, Leah, Alec, and Sofia, as well as many nieces and nephews. Family always came first for Nancy, and she was a volunteer at endless sporting events and school functions. Nancy was the president of the La Salle College High School Mother’s Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Nancy’s Funeral Mass on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446, where visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM in Church, prior to Mass. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Church Cemetery.

Nancy was a dear classmate of mine from Cecilian Academy. She was an eager participant in all our alumnae functions. Her beautiful smile lit up our gatherings. She will be missed but I picture her holding court up in heaven renewing old family and friendships. “Watch and pray” was our motto and she was good at it. So happy to hear her favorite songs accompanied her leaving earth and flying up. Carol Clark Olinick
