Gerald (Jerry) Kane, 87, of North Wales passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024 with family at their home. He was the loving husband of Kathleen Kane for 61 years.
Jerry was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 17, 1937. He was the son of Kathryn and Harry Kane and brother of Jim and Jack Kane. He served four years in the military before attending La Salle University and Penn State where he earned a degree in engineering. He went on to enjoy a long and successful career at Unisys.
Jerry was an avid skier and shared his passion with family and friends by organizing yearly ski trips all over the East Coast. He loved to cook, often to the tune of Frank Sinatra or one of his other favorite jazz musicians; Jerry continued to enjoy jazz right up until he passed away. He could repair anything from a car to a computer, and enjoyed helping his grandchildren with their school projects. Jerry’s other loves included reading, gardening, and walking his grand-dogs.
He is survived by his brother Jack, his children Denise (Larry), Steve and Brian (Marianne), and his grandchildren Kimberly, Ryan and Devin.

The best pop pop ever. I’ll miss you forever with all my love. You taught me patience and compassion and to never give up. When I was a little girl you used to take me to your work bench and teach me to solder things and how to put things back together or make something new. You showed me how to be creative and think for myself and how to figure things out. I’ll never forget the weekends I spend with you and Grammy you showed me so much love, safety and security and that you would always be there for me no matter what. Lots of love Kimberly Kane.
Bob and I are so sorry about Jerry . We will always remember the good times that the Kane family shared. Our thoughts and prayers are with Denise, Steve , and Brian and his grandchildren and many nephews and niece.
