Thomas Gaus—8/3/2024

Thomas Gaus, age 86, of  Montgomery Township, died on August 3, 2024, at his home.

He is survived by his beloved wife of  62 years, Kathleen (nee McGinley) Gaus.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Rose (nee Sanger) Gaus. 

He was raised in Philadelphia and was a member of Visitation BVM Parish and a graduate of West Catholic High School.

After high school, he served his country honorably with the United States Navy, Second Class Petty Officer Interior Communications.

Mr. Gaus worked as Computer Technician and later as an Instructor with UNISYS (previously Univac, Sperry) for 42 years.

He came to Montgomery Township in 2018.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his loving son Thomas and his wife Mary (nee McFillin) Gaus, grandchildren, Catherine, Elizabeth (Noah), Madeleine, Thomas (Kelly), Matthew, John (Nicole), Grace (Andrew) and James, as well as three great grandchildren, Thomas, Luke and Philip. He is also survived by six siblings, Henry, Roseann, Michael, Theresa, Claire, and Jane.

He was predeceased by five brothers, Edward, Joseph, William, James and Robert.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:50 AM in Church, prior to Mass.

Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Thomas’s name can be made to St. Stanislaus Church at the above address.

    So sorry to hear about the “love of your life,” Tom, passing. May he rest in peace surrounded by our Lord and all of those who have been with him, and who have loved him. You’ve got a beautiful family—something you both should be proud of. This is a very hard time for all of you.
