Charles J. Campbell–8/4/2024

Charles J. Campbell, age 77, of Harleysville, Pa, died August 4, 2024, at home surrounded by his children, Charles, Jr., and Elaine Campbell.

He was born September 21, 1946, to Charles, Jr. and Gloria Campbell (nee Palumbo). He was one of seven children, including 1 brother and 5 sisters.  He was particularly close to his sister, Elaine.

Charles was a huge Philadelphia sports fan, particularly enjoying the Eagles and Sixers. He was an umpire and played football as a running back in high school.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy, and daughter Jennifer.

Charles is survived by children, Charles Campbell Jr. and Elaine Rose Campbell (husband John Donahue).   

He is also survived by grandchildren Ava, Alyssa, Lexis, Devon and Madison, and one great granddaughter, Sianna Marie.

The family would like to thank the people of the Walnut Meadows Community, where Charles lived.  Sincerest gratitude for all the love and kindness over the years.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.

  1. Charles was a good man . He lived in Deptford NJ for a few years. He was loved by many. so sorry for your loss.

  4. One of the most honorable men. I ever met. I will never forget when Dot got sick. I asked him what he was going to do. He turned and looked at me and said this women took care of me and my kids for over 40 years. She will never go into a home. I will retire and take care of her. That is exactly what he did. Truley a great man. He will me missed greatly. I know him and Dot are happy in heaven and looking down.
