Margarita C. King–9/5/2024

Margarita C. King, of Lansdale, passed away on September 5, 2024.  

She was born to Martha Irwin Zerbe and Harry Zerbe, 79 years ago, in Sutton-Colefield England.

Rita sailed to the States at the age of two as her family settled in Harrisburg. She moved throughout Pennsylvania and 50 years ago made Lansdale her home.

Rita was a long-time employee of Harriet Carter Gifts in North Wales. She was proud of her various customer-oriented roles, made lifelong friends, and always had a story or anecdote to share.

Known by her family as Mom, Grammy, Aunt Rita, Aunt Woo-Woo and soon to be Great-Grammy, she touched many lives. Rita loved Disney and visited numerous times with children, then grandchildren in tow. Snow White’s Dopey was her absolute favorite character. Her joys were family gatherings, football Sundays, reading every James Patterson novel in print and puzzles of every kind. Rita was also a pet mom and doted on several dogs and cats throughout the years.

Rita is survived by; her daughter, Tina Borrelli, son, Gregory King, granddaughters Corinne Borrelli and Lauren (King) Vernon, grandson Trevor King and best friend Ann Bubnis.

Rita was proceeded in death by her former husband Edward King and her parents.

Services are this coming Thursday, September 12th at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E Main Street, Lansdale, PA. Family and Friends are invited to call from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. A memorial service will follow. Burial will be at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Road Chalfont.

  1. We have lost a beautiful, loving part of our family. Our Aunt RiRi was tiny but mighty! She had a laser focused love for her family and let each of us know exactly how she felt every time we were together. Our RiRi will be missed! But I have no doubt that she will be right at the shoulder of every person that she loved every day all day! Love you Rit ❤️❤️❤️
