Karen “Kacy” Colleen Devine, age 67, of Lansdale, PA., passed away at her home surrounded by family on Sunday evening, October 13, 2024.
Born in Philadelphia on July 21, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Allen and Joan (nee Kelly) Peacock.
She married the love of her life Richard J. Devine on March 19, 1983, at St. Katherine Catholic Church in Philadelphia.
In her younger years she attended St. John Bosco Elementary School, Nazareth Academy High School and finally LaSalle University.
She went on to teach pre-school at Methacton Mennonite School for 19 years.
During her life she lived in Andalusia, Bucks County, and Hatfield and Lansdale, Montgomery County.
She loved music, especially Bruce Springsteen, her Irish Heritage, which she imparted to her family, and every minute she was able to spend in Sea Isle City, NJ.
Mrs. Devine was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Parish which she joined in 1984.
In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by her children, Erin Griffith (Kyle), Rick Devine, and Kelly Carlino (DJ), grandchildren, Colin, Joey, Casey and Liam Griffith and Rory and Katie Mae Carlino, who all lovingly called her Uma, and brothers, Ken and and Allen Peacock. In addition to these, she is also survived by other close family members, Patricia Hunter, Bill and Margaret Gallagher, Rick and Marianna Clark as well as her dear dog, Brigid.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kathryn Joan Devine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kacy’s Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 920 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446, where her viewing will take place from 9:00 to 10:45 AM, in the Church Narthex, prior to Mass.
Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont
To the Wonderful Devine Family, You were blessed with the BEST! Kacy was the most loving, positive, happy & caring wife, mother, grandmother & friend we could all have in our lives! Her smile was sunshine! We are deeply sorry for your loss & continue to pray for you during these hard times. May she enjoy her heavenly rewards & may God grant you all His Peace and Comfort. Kacy you were a beautiful, full of life, wonderful person and most of all a fantastic mother to your children and a devoted wife to Richard. I am so glad to have called you my friend. You will be missed. I hope Katie was there to greet you as you arrived in heaven.
What a devastating loss to so many but mist importantly to her beautiful family. We will miss you, Kacy, but are happy you are not in pain. Get those angels dancing! They are lucky to have you!
