Thomas “Tim” S. Slack, Jr–12/28/2024

Thomas “Tim” S. Slack Jr., age 82, of North Wales, Pennsylvania, formerly of Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, passed on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

Tim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathy; his loving children, Tracey S. Smith (Robert), Jill Quagliariello (John), and Mindy McGrath; grandchildren, Robert Smith Jr., John Jr., (Laura) and Matthew Quagliariello, Jameson and Payton McGrath; great-grandson, Elliott Smith; and brothers, Christopher and Jeffry Slack.

Tim was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Thomas and Jane Slack; and his son, Brett Sauers. Tim was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and attended Episcopal Academy and Lafayette College.

His family enjoyed summers on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, and were members of the Brant Beach Yacht Club, where Tim’s love for the ocean and bay originated. Fishing and sailing were his lifetime passions. Tim especially enjoyed the Eastern shore of Maryland where he and his wife resided for six years. During that time Tim continued his career as a yacht broker.

Tim loved his family and was always proud to share stories about them. He was truly welcoming and an engaging conversationalist. He was often found captivating others with stories about the Eagles, Phillies, a recently read historical fiction publication or his golfing, sailing, and fishing adventures.

Over the past 27 years, Tim represented Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Prudential Realty of Lansdale, Pennsylvania. He loved and excelled in his career as a broker and realtor. Tim was greatly loved and will be missed by his family and friends for his humor, kindness and enduring love. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held in the spring of 2025.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to “Insulin for Life” or a charity of your choice.

  1. My condolences to Kathy and the family. Tim was a great guy, so sorry to hear of his passing. Tim helped my family and I with a lot of Real Estate deals over the years and we became friends along the way. He will be missed by many!
