Kevin Thomas Love–1/1/2025

Kevin Thomas Love, age 63, passed away peacefully in his sleep January 1, 2025, in his Ocean View home. Born May 31,1961, in Lansdale, Pa., son of Donald and Mildred Love, he was the second youngest of six children.

Kevin was the loving husband of Mary Joan Keifer, celebrating 34 years of marriage. He was the loving and prideful father of Alexander, Caroline, and Scott. He is also survived by his mother, siblings Donald Love, Louise Kyle, Susan DiLanzo, Laura Heckman, and Brian Love, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He lived a happy and full life in Lansdale, surrounded by many friends he made from his Susquehanna Avenue days.

Kevin graduated from Lansdale Catholic High School in 1979 before attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania, class of 1983. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Criminal Justice. Kevin owned his own landscaping company, worked with special needs students, and for the last 14 years gave back to the town he grew up in by working as a Code Enforcement Officer for Lansdale Borough.

Kevin loved to drink an adult beverage and watch any of the Philadelphia sports leagues. He played in a dart league and spent many nights beating his son Scott at Smokehouse Tavern. He was a devout Catholic who felt connected to Padre Pio as his patron saint. He adored his two cats and took joy in sitting out back during the summertime to work on his yard and gardens, listening to The Grateful Dead or Pearl Jam on his FM radio.

He will be remembered for his loyalty and generosity to the Lansdale community, his unwavering support to his loved ones, and his playful sense of humor. His presence will be missed by anyone and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kevin’s Mass of Christian Burial, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, Pa., 19446, where there will be a Receiving time from 9:00 AM to 10:50 AM, in Church, prior to Mass.

Inurnment will be in the St. Stanislaus Columbarium which is located in St. Stanislaus Old Cemetery, behind Mater Dei School.

  1. Kevin was a great friend. We always enjoyed his sense of humor and the glint in his eyes as we laughed together. We were looking forward to sharing summer Friday afternoons as members of the mug club. He will be missed. Rest in peace, friend.

  4. My friend I will miss you , the fun times we had down the shore at Slacktide or wherever , those times will not be duplicated or forgotten !! You were like a brother to me, and a part of my family and your humor and smile will be greatly missed !!

  6. It’s hard to believe that he is gone. He was a good friend and trusted coworker who always pushed hard for what he believed in. I will miss our conversations/debates, even the ones that I had to let him believe he won 😉 RIP my friend!
