It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John W. Dziedzic, a resident of Phoenixville, PA, who departed this world on February 14th at the age of 72. Although his departure was earlier than expected he was granted at least 9 lives and enjoyed them all.
John was born on February 23, 1952, in Lansdale, PA and spent his life perfecting a balance between hard work, good times, and an abundance of humor. He was a guy with a big heart that knew how to fix everything and wasn’t afraid of getting dirty.
He was a devoted father to Andy Dziedzic (wife Susan) and the proud grandfather of three grandsons, Bruce (15), Charlie (13), and George (9), all of whom loved him dearly, mostly because he always made them laugh, but also because he was known to provide them with unique gifts he would find.
John is survived by his siblings, Rose, Joanne, Joel, Mike, Jimmy, and Paul, who were certainly familiar with his wit over the years and all stayed in touch with him frequently through Skype and many phone calls. They all had a very strong relationship with him.
John was also fortunate enough to have his beloved domestic partner, Donna, by his side — someone he truly cherished. The two of them were a great pair in creating funny Christmas Cards and enjoying time at the bar with friends.
If John wasn’t on a golf course or driving range he would be hanging out in his man shed fixing something or building new clubs.
John was a man of many talents in his professional life. He was an accomplished business owner of Juniper Auto Body and John’s Auto Salvage. He was a very talented mason as well. The garage at St. Stan’s is one of his masonry masterpieces.
John was an avid marathon runner in his early 30s. He ran the Philadelphia Marathon twice and the iconic New York City Marathon (after a night of partying).
John will be most remembered for his ability to slip an 70/80’s movie quote into a conversation (Caddyshack being one of his favorites). John’s family and friends will carry his memory and sense of humor with them forever.
You made life better and funnier, and we’re grateful for every moment. Rest easy, John.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446. There will be a receiving time from 10 AM to 11:45 AM, followed by a Eulogy at 12 Noon.
Love you Brother and will always have wonderful memories of us growing up and working together at Juniper Auto Body flipping cars and going to the auto auctions buying wrecks.
