Amelia Rose Taylor
Born 1927 – Died 2025
Amelia Rose Taylor, 97 of Lansdale, PA passed away peacefully on the morning of April 12th, 2025, of natural causes.
Amelia was born in Lansdale on September 13, 1927, to Loreta & Francesco Calise. Her parents were Italian immigrants hailing from Ischia and Naples respectively. She often talked about the family dinners they had every Sunday with her six siblings, a table full of handmade pastas, her mother’s legendary gravy and meatballs and father’s homemade red wine.
She met her future husband Joseph Taylor Jr. while working at the Gauge and they married in 1951. They raised two children until Joseph’s untimely death in an auto accident in 1968.
Amelia or “Molly” as she was known to friends loved playing cards, bingo, and the slot machines in Atlantic City. She was an avid sports fan and never missed an Eagles or Phillies game. Amelia was a beacon of light and love to all that were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her daughter Marie, her son-in-law Clifford, and son Joseph III and their children Eve, Jamey, and Joseph IV.
