Margaret “Peggy” DelGiudice, 97, passed away peacefully after a long, full life. Born on January 13, 1928, in the Swampoodle section of Philadelphia, Peggy carried the pride of her roots with her always.
Peggy was the epitome of resilience and lived every one of her 97 years to the fullest. With a sharp wit, a wonderful sense of humor, and an infectious laugh, she brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She loved to share stories whether from her travels or from her everyday adventures. Peggy had a gift for making any gathering brighter.
A loyal Phillies fan and an enthusiastic supporter of the Mummers, Peggy was deeply connected to the traditions of her city. She also loved nothing more than talking about her family, who were the true center of her life.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, John DelGiudice, her siblings, Evelyn Dehner (Eugene), Nancy Uhrich (George), and John McGeehan, her niece Lyn Cavallaro and her great nieces Lori Dziedzic and Katie Dehner. She is survived by her sister-in-law Mary McGeehan, 10 nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and nephews, and 9 great-great nieces and nephews all of whom will remember her warmth, humor, and love.
Peggy’s legacy lives on through the countless stories she shared, the laughter she sparked, and the love she poured into her family and friends.
Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. The viewing and Mass will take place at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy’s name can be made to Mater Dei Catholic Grade School.
