Real J. Fradette—10/23/2025

March 9, 1936 – October 23, 2025

Real J. Fradette, 89, of North Wales, Pennsylvania, beloved husband of Rose (Stieber) Fradette, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Farmington, Connecticut, son of the late Armand and Antoinette, (Dubois) Fradette. Real attended Farmington High School and later graduated from the University of Connecticut (UCONN) in 1959, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He continued his studies at Villanova University where he earned his Master’s Degree in Metallurgy. Real spent most of his professional career at the Abar Corporation, and later retired from VFS (Vacuum Furnace Systems) as their International Sales Manager.

Real was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond, his sister-in-law, Eileen, and his “Honorary” littlest brother, Donald Courtois. Real is survived by brothers, Donald, Maurice, and wife, Sue, Michael, and wife, Irena, sister-in-law, Rosemary, and Carol Courtois, wife of Donald Courtois. In addition, Real is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Real had a variety of activities and hobbies. He loved golf, was Captain of the UCONN golf team, and attended many PGA golf tournaments throughout his life. Real was an avid sports fan of all the Philadelphia Professional Sports Teams. He was a distinguished Diamond Life Master in Bridge, and participated in numerous Bridge Tournaments. Real was an accomplished artist, who concentrated on precision and detail, using his favorite media of pen and ink. In addition, he so enjoyed cruising throughout the world with his dear wife, Rose, and other family members.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Mother of the Redeemer, 1325 Upper State Road, North Wales, PA, 19454, on November 8 th at 11:00 AM. Prior to the Mass, a visitation period will be held in the Church Narthex (in the back of the Church) at 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM.

  2. I have know Real back to his employ with Abar in the 1970’s or so and later with Vacuum Furnace Systems. Real was a very smart engineer and an asset to our companies. We miss him greatly.
