Lois Germaine (Gerry) Prezuhy
January 2, 1940—December 29, 2025
Lois Germaine “Gerry” Prezuhy, age 85, passed away December 29, 2025 at the Community at Rockhill in Sellersville, PA.
She is survived by her loving husband Paul Prezuhy.
Gerry was born to William Lloyd and Anne Marie (Stevenson) Waltz in the Conemaugh Borough section of Johnstown, Pa.
She attended Grade school at Sacred Heart Parish where she did all the grocery shopping, starting in 5th grade, for the Nuns who were semi-cloistered. The Nuns were very demanding about the quality of the groceries. She shopped with that same persistence for the rest of her life and loved doing it.
She graduated from Johnstown Catholic High School in 1958. She had variety of part-time jobs in Johnstown and in St. Paul, MN. After David and Janice were born, she became a stay-at-home mom, which was a blessing for all concerned. This gave her a chance to start her bowling career. The local bowling alley had a weekly league for mothers’ and their kids. They sent a bus to pick up the moms and kids so that the ladies could bowl while the kids were supervised in the play area. When her youngest started high school Gerry worked as Secretary at North Penn Visiting Nurses and then at Dock Meadows (now renamed The Willows) as a Secretary/Receptionist. She retired in 2000.
Gerry and Paul were High School sweethearts and when Paul came home on leave from the Navy he proposed and she accepted.
She was married to Paul on November 28, 1959, at Sacred Heart Parish in Conemaugh. Mary Agnes (Aust) Roccio, her best friend, was her Maid of Honor.
Paul worked for Remmington Rand/Univac in the computer industry. They lived in Philadelphia for four months, in St Paul Minnesota for seven years, in Newark, Delaware for one year, Blackwood, NJ, for nine years, North Wales, Pa for 43 years and The Community at Rockhill, in Sellersville PA, since 2018.
She was a devout Catholic and was proud of the fact that we never missed Mass. At St Stanislaus Parish she was a charter member of the Adoration Chapel. She also served as President of the Senior Club for four years.
She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and a had lot of experience caring for her younger siblings, as she was the second oldest of 12.
Gerry loved reading, was an excellent cook and baker and a loving, caring wife. She enjoyed vacationing in Shenandoah National Park, Colonial Williamsburg, Arizona, and Hawaii.
In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by her loving children, David A. Prezuhy (Ciara Deluce) of Chalfont, Janice M, Prezuhy (Beverly Gregor—deceased) of Telford, Alan J. Crandal (Alissa Goldman) of Scottsdale AZ, and Beth A. McHugh (JP) of Oreland, grandchildren, Amanda Kelly (Sean), Emily K. Prezuhy (Adam Dunst) and Matthew McHugh, sister-in law, Agnes Kapturoski (Bob), niece, Laura Albanese (Christopher), siblings, Katherine Waltz (Grady—Deceased), Michael J. Waltz (Connie), Phillip J. Waltz (Laura), Bernard G. Waltz (Terry—Deceased) and Rose M. Waltz (Michael).
Gerry was preceded by her siblings, Margaret A. Waltz (Charles A. Heffner – Deceased), Sue Marie Waltz, William Paul Waltz, Thomas A. Waltz (Ann Marie), Lawarence J. Waltz, and John F. Waltz (Bonnie).
The family would like to thank the Skilled Nursing Unit of The Community at Rockhill for the outstanding care that they provided. The management, nurses, PTs and OTs, aides, and housekeeping and dining staffs all treated Gerry like a member of their family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gerry’s Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday January 14, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main St., Sellersville, PA 18960, where her family will receive friends in Church prior to Mass from 9:30 to 10:20 AM.
Interment at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, Pa., will be private.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Saint Agnes Church, at the address above, would be appreciated.

I was saddened to hear of Gerry’s passing. We were in 2nd grade at Sacred Heart Grade School in Conemaugh, and later shared classes at Johnstown Catholic High School. Then as happens after high school, we moved to new locations, with periodic contact.
Her caring of family and friends is
so evidenced by her Life which we celebrate. Gerry will be missed.
Rest in God’s Peace! Well Done!
