Bernadette Sechler of Lansdale, Pa., passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2026, at the age of 74 after a long battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband Thomas, Lansdale, Pa., and her children and their families: Michelle (husband Daniel, grandson Colby, 11), North Wales, Pa.; David (wife Marissa), Doylestown, Pa.; Jeanette (husband Eric, granddaughter Neva, 12, grandson Leif, 11), Johnson, Vt.; Mara (dog Woody), North Wales, Pa.; as well as her sisters Geraldine and Nancee and their respective families.
Born June 9, 1951, to John and Catherine Buck, Bernadette grew up in Glenside, Pa., and met Thomas of neighboring Norristown, Pa. Married in 1974, Bernadette and Thomas spent 51 loving years together, residing in the Lansdale, Pa. area.
Bernadette is known for her giving nature and creativity. She loved music, dancing, traveling, and celebrating life. She cherished being with her family. During summer, she most enjoyed playing board games with her husband beneath the oak tree.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bernadette’s Funeral Mass on February 4, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, Pa. 19446, where her family will receive friends, from 9:00 AM to 10:20 AM, at the church prior to Mass. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Norristown, following Mass.
