Ida Plotcher–2/9/2026

Ida Plotcher, age 64, formerly of the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, February 9, 2026, at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital.

She had been in failing health.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Charles and Elizabeth (nee Byers) Plotcher.

Ida worked as a Procurement Agent for the US Department of Defense and later Canon Business Solutions.

She was an avid reader, Bingo player, and loved doing puzzles of all types.  

Her TV was always tuned to the Game Show Network.

Ida’s greatest passion was spending time with her three granddaughters.

Surviving are her loving daughter Christina Kehan and her husband Shawn, her granddaughters, Emma, Abigail and Clara as well as one sister Cynthia Plotcher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ida’s Funeral Mass on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:20 AM, in Church, prior to Mass.

Inurnment will follow Mass in the St. Stanislaus Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers donations in Ida’s name can be made to The St. Stanislaus Legacy Committee. Checks can be written to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.  Please note in the Memo “For The Legacy Committee, Ida Plotcher”

  1. I remember Ida was always happy to come to our annual pig roast. John and I always looked forward to her potato salad which was the best ever. She and her family would always sit down the end of the yard and look over the field and trees and said she felt like she was in the country. I also worked with Ida at Canon and she was always very helpful when I needed it. What a smart and cheerful woman. She will be missed. Rest in peace Ida.

  3. Although I met Ida later in her life I feel truly Blest to have known Ida. Ida, was a totally devoted Mom and a loving Grandmother. To have witnessed last days on her journey home to God was to experience a woman deeply connected to Faith, Grace and Trust in her God.
    Ida, truly is a Good and Faithful Servant.
    God’s Blessings as you mourn this beautiful soul and as you celebrate the newest member of the Community of Saints.
