Rachael Catherine Buckley–3/15/2026

Rachael Catherine Buckley, age 52, passed away on March 15, 2026, in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, after a courageous journey with cancer. She was born on November 16, 1973, in Abington, Pennsylvania, to Bruce and Sandy Buckley.

Rachael was a woman of deep and abiding faith. She loved Jesus and lived her life grounded in that devotion, having given her life to Christ and trusting fully in the promise of heaven. Her faith shaped who she was and how she cared for others, remaining central through every season of her life.

Rachael’s health challenges began early. She received a kidney transplant in 2011 and spent far too much time in and out of hospitals. Yet despite these hardships, she built a life filled with joy, purpose, and love—surrounded by family and friends who adored her and whom she cherished deeply.

She attended Penn State University and earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern University, followed by a master’s degree from Drexel University. Rachael worked as a medical writer and contractor, bringing thoughtfulness, professionalism, and care to everything she did. She took pride in her work and in contributing meaningfully through her career.

Rachael lived life on her own terms—and often on “Rachael time.” Her legendary inability to arrive anywhere on schedule was both baffling and deeply beloved by those who knew her best.

A lover of the arts, Rachael spent her high school years immersed in musical theater at the Cheltenham Playhouse and through her school productions. She loved to sing, and her friends fondly remember singing show tunes, hymns, or popular music together. She also played the violin and piano and enjoyed cross-stitching and reading.

Rachael had a dry, witty sense of humor and a gift for language. She delighted in borrowing jokes from Saturday Night Live and Steve Martin movies, weaving them into letters to friends. Sarcasm was her second language, and her creativity and humor brought laughter wherever she went.

Above all, Rachael loved fiercely and without condition. It never mattered who you were—if you loved her, she loved you.

Rachael was a proud member of the Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity.

She is survived by her parents, Sandra and Bruce Buckley; her sister, Amanda Pennington; her brother, Matt Buckley; her brother-in-law, Scott Pennington; her sister-in-law, Elisabeth Paredes Buckley; her niece, Alyson Pennington; and her nephews, Nathaniel Pennington, Lane Buckley, and Tyler Buckley; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

In her final days, Rachael was surrounded by care, comfort, and love. Her family is deeply grateful for the compassion shown by friends, colleagues, and caregivers during this time.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Rachael’s Life on March 23, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 276 W. Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA 18964, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made in Rachael’s memory to Cure International, Samaritan’s Purse, Via Ministries (Tom and Susan Talbot), or Word FM.
