Jerry “Skinny” David Zollo, age 69, of Upper Gwynedd, Pa., died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 31, 2023. He had resided at Spring House Estates. He lived at 1208 Walnut Street in Lansdale, Pa., most of his life.

Jerry, the son of Cecelia (nee. Schillow) and Felix Zollo, was born September 13, 1953, in Lansdale, Pa.

He is survived by His sister Donna Hockman and brother Philip (Cathy) Zollo. His sister Lona Cornelius died in 2008. Jerry had 5 nieces and nephews: George Hockman and his wife Donna, Chrisopher Zollo, Anthony Zollo and his wife Natalie Olsheveski, Natalie Zollo and Jennifer Sorrento. He also had a grandnephew Ernie Olsheveski Zollo.

Jerry graduated from North Penn High School in 1971.

After graduating he went to work at the Post Office in Hatfield until he retired around 2005.

Jerry was responsible for creating and coaching the derelicts baseball team—making friends for life.

His favorite hobby was Standard bred horses and in 2021 with the help of his trainers Toni and Marc Mosher and Lorenzo Di Simone he created Jerry Zollo Stables LLC.

The family would like to thank everyone who came out to support Jerry’s horses and parties. You brought real joy to his life these last 2 years. We would like to give a shout out to Mickey and Betsy, Lou, Rocket and Muskrat, for all you support. Also a huge Thanks to Jennifer for being an amazing caregiver and friend to Jerry.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jerry’s Memorial Service on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446.  Friends are invited to greet the family from 10:00 AM to 11:50 AM and attend Jerry’s Service at 12:00 PM.  Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ambler.
