Robert D Steinbacher, Jr.—4/23/2022

Robert D Steinbacher, Jr, 55, passed away on April 23, 2022 at Abington Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 1967 in Roslyn, Pa the son of Robert D Steinbacher and Carol Ann Richichi.

Robert graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School  and subsequently from Antonelli School Photography with an Associates Degree in Fine Art. Robert went on after graduation to start a successful wedding photography business. Robert then started his teaching career as the Commercial Photography and Graphic Design instructor at the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology in Willow Grove.  

He met and married his wife Margaret McDaniel and settled in Lansdale. They celebrated their 30 years of marriage in May 2021. Robert served as a Fire Police member with the Colmar Fire Company for many years. Robert has had his photographs featured in an exhibit  “What Those Who Teach Do” at the Philadelphia Institute of Art in 2012.

Robert enjoyed spending time camping and traveling with his family. He also was an avid fan of video games and Science Fiction shows. Robert will be remembered by his family and former students for his extraordinary sense of humor and dry wit. 

Surviving in addition to his wife Margaret (McDaniel) Steinbacher are his daughter Margaret  of Green Lane, Pa, his daughter Victoria Steinbacher of North Charleston, SC, his son Robert R. Steinbacher of Lansdale, and his daughter Elizabeth Steinbacher of Lansdale. 

A graveside service will be held 11:30am on April 30 at Green Lawn Cemetery on the corner of Allentown Rd & Sumneytown Pk in Lansdale, Pa.
