Richard Fredrick Burns—6/18/2021

Richard Frederick Burns, 58. of Hatfield, Pa., died June 18, 2021, at ManorCare Nursing and Rehabiiitation Center, in Montgomeryville, Pa.

Richard was born May 18, 1963, to Donald and Patricia Burns, in Columbus, Ohio. He had one brother, Larry Burns, and three sisters, Donna Light, Cindy Arnholt and Linda Peterson.

He was married to Debra Law in Lansdale, Pa., in 2000.

Richard attended Souderton Area HIgh School, as well as Truck Driving School (CDL), and Heavy Equipment Operating School. He worked as a Machinist, Truck Driver, and CSR.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

His hobby was fishing and he enjoyed sports, including hocky, football, baseball, stock car racing and Wrestling. He was active in the Colmar Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

He is survived by his wife Debora Burns, Hatfield, Pa., his mother Patricia Burns Conway, South Carolina, and his brother Larry Burns (Kathy), of Hatfield, Pa.; sisters, Cindy Arnholt of Telford,  Linda Peterson of Schwenksville, Donna Light (Joseph) of Lansdale, Pa., and his children: Anthony Lee Burns (Murphy) (Katie), of Telford, Pa., Ashley Deloras (Nelson) (Dale) of Granbury, Texas, Clifford William McDowell (Jill) of Hatfield, Pa. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 40 nieces and nephews.

He also leaves behind his beloved pet dog, Sparky.

He was predeceased by his father, Donald; his son, Paul Bryan Burns (2017), and a grandson, Clinton.

His service will be held June 25, 2021, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 East Main Street, Lansdale, Pa.
