Matilda R. Petrusky (nee Homa)
August 5, 1934 – October 24, 2020
Matilda (Tillie) Petrusky, 86, of Lansdale, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Charles A. Petrusky.
Tillie was born on August 5, 1934 in Youngstown, Ohio. She spent many years in Youngstown before settling in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. She was one of 8 children. Her strong devotion to family started early in her life. She was a wonderful daughter to Mary and John Homa and nurturing sister to Joseph, John, Mary, Marty, Betty, Albert and Cyril. She attended Woodward Wilson High School in Youngstown, Ohio, where she met the love of her life and was married on August 25, 1956.
In 1970, Chuck and Tillie found their dream home on Williamsburg Road in Lansdale where they raised their 4 children and developed many life-long friendships in this close-knit neighborhood. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on August 25, 2020.
Tillie’s passion in life was caring for her husband and family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a proud homemaker and a wonderful baker. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family, especially poolside barbecue’s and Sunday football. She cherished her grandchildren and spent endless hours with them.
In later years they enjoyed trips to Arizona, Las Vegas and Atlantic City and attended annual family outings in the Poconos. We were all blessed to have her for over 86 years.
She is survived by her husband Chuck, children Linda (Tony), Karen (Rich), Chuck (Marybeth) and Marianne (Brian). She is also survived by her grandchildren David, Tony, Nicolette and Stephen.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10:30AM at St Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA.
