
Carolina Romano, age 88, of Lansdale, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2020, at her home in Lansdale.
Carolina was born on March 28, 1932 in South Philadelphia, to the late Antonio and Cristina (nee. Ottaviano) Cancelliere. She was the wife of the late Antonio Romano, who passed away on February 1, 2020. They were married for 68 years.
Carolina graduated from Lansdale High School in 1949 and after getting married began to raise her loving family.
In 1968 she started her employment with Merck and Co. in West Point where she stayed for 19 years. After an early retirement she obtained her Real Estate License and also worked as a caregiver to her mother and mother-in-law until 2004.
Carolina a was an artist, a seamstress, a homemaker and a devoted member of the Legion of Mary for many years.
She is survived by her three sons, Larry, Donald (Nancy) and Mario and daughter Lucille Romano, 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 21 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchilld, a sister Carmella Benjamin as well as a nephew. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant son.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, where visitation will begin at 9 AM prior to Mass. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery in North Wales.
