Theresa (Finnerty) O’Brien, 87, born Philadelphia, PA, loving wife of 63 years to the late John P. O’Brien passed away October 7, 2019 at home surrounded by family. Theresa is survived by her children John (Aileen), Maureen Craig (Jim), Kathleen Bovino (Al), the late Michael (Diane Chiaro), Thomas (Jackie). Her nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is also loved by her many nieces and nephews.

Theresa enjoyed her work at the Trolley Stop in Hatfield and her involvement with Country Neighbors of Harleysville and the Red Hat Society. Her many loves included crossword puzzles, scratch offs tickets and the beach, but she cherished her family most of all.

Family will receive family and friends on Thursday, October 10 from 6–8pm at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, Lansdale and Friday, October 11 from 10 – 11am at St Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Rd Hatfield. A Mass celebrating her life will follow at 11am. She will be interred at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society or Catholic Charities.
