Amy Cecilia Halstead (née Daly) passed away peacefully on August 10, 2019 at the age of 71 surrounded by her family.
Amy was preceded in death by Dennis Halstead, her loving husband of nearly 50 years, in 2017 and her son, Dennis Eric Halstead (Skip) in 1973. She was dearly loved by her children Jeffrey (Patricia), Scott (Laura), Christina Streets (David) and her God-daughter, Sandra Kennedy. She was a loving and devoted Mom-Mom to her grandchildren Kalin, Megan, Hannah, Elizabeth, Claire, Catherine, Cole, and Avery. She will be dearly missed by her siblings Kathleen Romanczuk, Margaretta Allen, Edward Daly, and Carol Lynn Daly, as well as her many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Amy Daly (née McManus).
Amy was born and raised in Philadelphia where she lived until 1981. She worked for many years at General Electric, later Lockheed Martin, where she distinguished herself as a computer security analyst. She was greatly respected and was honored several times for her accomplishments. She retired from Lockheed Martin in 2012. Amy loved reading, watching British television shows, skiing, spending time in Ocean City, and reflecting in her garden. Her greatest love was her family, and she cherished every moment surrounded by them.
Family and friends are invited to share in Amy’s Life Celebration on Monday, August 19th at St. Rose of Lima Church, 428 S. Main Street, North Wales.
The viewing will be held from 9:30-11:00 am followed by Mass at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
