It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Gadaleta of Hatfield PA, on Saturday April 5th at the age of 89. Phyllis was born on January 12, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA to Anthony and Filomena (nee Spinella) Diccianni.

Phyllis worked at North Montco Technical School as a cafeteria cashier, later taking on the same role at the Trolley Stop Deli well into her 70s. 

She was an avid bowler, enjoying bowling at Town and Country Lanes and Lans-Bowl in Lansdale. She enjoyed reading and playing cards with friends, as well as spending time doing Word Search puzzles and reading. She often attended Bingo Night at St. Stanislaus Church.  She also volunteered her time at St. Maria Goretti Church. She was a member of the Lioness of Hatfield, where her husband Joseph was a member and past President. Known for her fun-loving smile and laugh, Phyllis will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Phyllis survived by her husband Joseph, sons Joseph Jr. of Hatfield and Michael of Glen Cove, NY., grandchildren Loni of Hatfield, Michael of West Chester, Jacob and Ryan of Lansdale, and great-grandchildren Hailey and Mason of Hatfield, and her brother Francesco of Upper Holland. Phyllis was preceded in death by her 3 sisters Francis Valentino, Carmella Cottone, Theresa Goodreau and 4 brothers James, Gus, Ralph, Anthony.

There will be a Receiving time 9:00 AM to 10:20 AM on Friday, April 11, 2025 at St. Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, PA followed by Phyllis’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.  Burial to follow at Hatfield Cemetery, 2711 Penn Avenue, Hatfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind, whose mission is to empower the blind and visually impaired with skills for safe and independent travel.

The family would like to thank The Willow and Living Branches for their care and attention given to their Mother, Grandmom and Great Grandmom over the last year for their care and support during this time.
