Chuck started his career in the construction industry, first working as a cement mason. Always striving to make a better life for his family, he attended night school for 8 years while working full-time and raising two children. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Youngstown State University. This accomplishment presented him new opportunities initially as a surveyor then ultimately as a construction superintendent. Some of Chuck’s more notable projects included the Philadelphia Airport expansion, Liberty II, and the Grand View Hospital annex.
In 1970, Chuck and Tillie found their forever home on Williamsburg Road in Lansdale. where they raised their four children and developed many life-long friendships in the close-knit neighborhood. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on August 25, 2020.
Chuck was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family, hosting poolside parties, Sunday football and countless celebrations. Chuck had a strong faith and was proud to serve as an Usher at St. Stanislaus Church. He was so proud of his four grandchildren and spent endless hours with them.
Chuck loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time in his garden and sharing the harvest with family and neighbors. He also took pleasure in making furniture. He was a true craftsman and his many works can be found in the homes of his children and will be cherished by the family for many years to come.
