It is with great sadness that the Hoepfl family announces the passing of Julia “Judy” who was loved by so many. Julia, age 77, died on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale, PA. surrounded by her loving family.
Julia was born on June 10th, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA to the late James Francis Dwyer & Catherine Harvey Dwyer.
She is survived by her devoted husband Robert “Bob” of 57 years, son Eric Hoepfl (Sophia) and daughter Christine Downing (John), her siblings Kathleen McCaffrey, James Dwyer, Patricia Schull, the late John Dwyer, Michael Dwyer, Mary Jane McDevitt and Kevin Dwyer; and her cherished grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Rachel, Aiden and Fiona, as well as sisters’ and brothers’-in law, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Julia graduated from Little Flower high school (class of 1961) and went on to work in the insurance industry for many years. Her life revolved around her family and strong Catholic faith. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila in Audubon, Pa. and St. Eleanor’s in Collegeville, Pa. and was involved in many Catholic ministries over the years, including teaching CCD and coordinating annual spiritual retreats for the Dominican Retreat house.
Judy was known for her big heart and beautiful smile! She loved nothing more than being with her family and friends and even more so if she was dancing with them. She enjoyed time at the beach and anytime with her precious grandchildren. Time spent with Judy always left one with a smile on your face. Judy was a wonderful gift to all of us who knew and loved her and she will be forever missed!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 1:30 PM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. where the family will receive friends after 12:30 PM in Church, prior to Mass. Interment at a later date.
