Hector A. Luciano passed away on Sunday, February 9th, 2020. The son of Edward and Maria Luciano, Hector was born in Lansdale, Pennsylvania on April 29th, 1931. Hector graduated from Lansdale High School in 1950 where he enjoyed playing sports, especially football, which he played after graduation on a Semi Pro team. He served our nation as a Master Sargent in the Korean War and was recently honored for his service by the South Korean Foundation, of Montgomery County. Soon thereafter, Hector married the love of his life, Antoinette M. Luciano (Pupillo. The couple enjoyed 58 years of marriage, raising five girls along the way.
Hector was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a devoted member of Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church, where he and his family attended weekly services. Hector was a Master Builder for over 60 years and built many homes in the Lansdale area, following the craft taught to him by his father. Hector loved to write and recite poetry, sing a song with his family and of course he could spin a joke or two. Friends and family came first, he never met a stranger, and would always open his home to anyone needing a hot meal. Hector is now at peace with the Lord and shall be missed by his family and many friends.
Surviving family members include his five daughters: Maria Luciano of Souderton, Madelina Luciano of Telford, Michelle Cianchetta, (husband Mark), of Lansdale, Antoinette Collins, (husband Brad), of Greeley Colorado and Catherine Whitmire, (husband Douglas), of Collegeville. He was the beloved grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Lucy Granese and Josephine Roblez, numerous nieces and nephews.
Hector was preceded in death by his parents and his devoted wife Antoinette along with one sister, Rosemarie Conti.
Services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, in Lansdale. The viewing will begin at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
