Antonio Romano–2/1/2020

Antonio Romano, age 90, of Lansdale passed away peacefully on February 1, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born on December 19, 1929 to the late Lorenzo and Lucia (nee. Caggiano) Romano in the town of Chieuti, Provincia di Foggia, Italy. He came to America with his mother in 1948. 

Antonio worked at Onar-Craft Clothing where his aunt had secured him a job before leaving Italy. While still working days, he later decided to go to school at Philadelphia Wireless Tech, to learn oil burner repair.  He then went to Musselman’s and worked as an Oil Burner Repairman until that company closed.  Antonio went on to work as an Industrial Plumber with BKG Co. in Telford, retiring in 1994. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and most importantly spending time with family. Antonio was a devoted parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale and later Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Upper Gwynedd. 

He is survived by his beloved wife Carolina (nee. Cancelliere) Romano who he married at St. Stanislaus in 1952. Also surviving are his son’s Lawrence of New Albany, PA, Donald and his wife Nancy of Dushore, PA and Mario of Lansdale, and daughter Lucille Romano of Waynesboro, PA as well as 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 AM in the Church Narthex prior to Mass.

The interment will take place in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lansdale.
