November 18, 1937 – January 19, 2026
Sabina Crown, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 18, 1937, to Asperino Dalfonzo and Guiseppine (“Josephine”) Dalfonzo. Sabina grew up in a close, lively family where laughter, loyalty, and shared stories were part of everyday life.
She was preceded in death by her father Asperino, her mother Guiseppine, sister Antoinette (and her late husbands Robert and George), brother Peter (Marissa), and her beloved husband, Howard Crown, whom she married on January 18, 1964.
Sabina is survived by her siblings Samuel (Geraldine), Ann Marie (Bernard), and Anthony (Lee). She leaves behind her children Mary (Thomas), Margaret, Teresa (Gregory), and Diane, as well as many nieces and nephews. Her heart extended beyond her immediate family to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply and without reservation. Her grandchildren include Diane, Bryan (Erica), Christopher (Bia), Melissa (Lamar), Lauren (Matthew), Trevor, and Nicholas. Her great-grandchildren — Sophia, Riley, Ezel, Carter, and Madelyn — brought her tremendous pride and joy.
Sabina lived a full and spirited life defined by devotion to family, deep faith, and a joyful sense of adventure. She was active in St. Stan’s Church, volunteering in the office and in the cafeteria at Nicholas’ school. She had a knack for making something out of nothing, whether it was a Halloween costume from a kitchen curtain or a bikini from a HoJo towel. She pierced ears, permed hair, and dyed hair with varying degrees of success, and she loved to laugh — everyone she met became family.
Her grandchildren lovingly called her “Nanny,” and they adored spending time with her. Sleepovers at her home were legendary, and she never hesitated to get them whatever they needed (and often whatever they wanted). She drove her trusty Toyota everywhere, ready to shop with a stack of expired Bed Bath & Beyond coupons in the glove compartment. She also enjoyed a big bowl of chocolate ice cream with nuts — with no apologies.
Her children remember her as fun, funny, and endlessly supportive. She took them to ballet, dance, gymnastics, swimming, summer camp, and cheerleading, creating a childhood full of joyful memories. Summers were spent at the Hatfield pool, where friendships and happy moments were made. Sabina loved to travel, journeying across Europe and throughout the United States. One of her most memorable adventures was driving her children by herself to Orlando in a giant station wagon, a legendary trip that reflected her courage and sense of fun.
Despite her many travels, some of Sabina’s most cherished times were at the Jersey Shore. Known for finding the cheapest hotel rooms and packing them fuller than anyone thought possible, she created warm gatherings with her beloved “Shore Friends.” They played games, shared food, laughed, and enjoyed the ocean air — traditions that brought her tremendous joy.
Sabina was a gentle, loving, and warm presence in this world. She will be remembered for her humor, generosity, faith, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sabina’s Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, Pa 19446, where the Viewing will take place from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM, in Church, prior to Mass.Interment will follow Mass at St. John Neumann

Truly loved deeply. Her loving heart is one of the warmest childhood memories. A reminder that aunts are truly second mothers.
Sab was the kindest, most loving person I knew. Many an evening were spent in her company with our Scripture group. Good times to remember. Enjoy your peace, Sabby.
Mrs Crown, how sad it is to say goodbye in this life. You were everyone’s second Mom in the neighborhood and always created a warm, accepting, safe and loving space for all of us. One of my Mom’s best friends and companions through the years. I will forever cherish the memories of when you joined her on trips into the city. All of our love and best thoughts to Mary, Margaret, Teresa and Diane.
