  1. I only knew Larry for a very short time, but what a lovely soul !!
I was his home care nurse, and was anticipating seeing him again. It was by accident I found his obituary and was saddened to see he had passed, however, knowing that he is with Jesus, that is very comforting. Also got to know Fred very briefly and Larry spoke very highly of him and valued their friendship, I could tell that from the day I met him. God bless !! Kathy R.

  2. Dear Larry:

    Country roads, take me home
    To the place I belong
    West Virginia, mountain mama
    Take me home, country roads

For years, I heard that you always wanted to go back to West Virginia just one more time. I wanted so bad to be a part of this humble request and make this happen for you. Finally, Freddy and I took you back to your hometown West Virginia in May of this year. It was on your forever “bucket list”. You planned it with so much detail of your history and your roots. I was so honored to be a part of bringing you back to West Virginia and seeing where Larry Barnhouse came from…. your roots that built you and took you places where only God saw where you belonged. You trusted that journey right to Philadelphia, PA.

Freddy in the back seat the whole ride was “priceless”, and you navigated this road trip like a “boss”. We didn’t even need the GPS or a road map. You still knew your way “home”. Seeing you smile, having those laughs, and visiting those favorite places will be a memory that will be etched in my soul forever. We took lots of photos so we will keep that big ole road trip alive!

    Almost Heaven, West Virginia.

Well, my friend, a little over eight months later, you are now in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I can’t wait to see you again.

    Heaven just got more crowded!

    Love you!

    Your friend and assistant,
    Sharon
