James Joseph Baldassari—2/14/2026

James Joseph Baldassari, born October 9, 1953, in Norristown, went home to Jesus on February 14, 2026. He was a devout man in all facets of his life — a dedicated and hardworking CPA, a dependable protector of his siblings, wife, children, and grandchildren, and a loyal, trustworthy friend.

He graduated from Temple University, earning his bachelor’s degree on May 29, 1975, and his master’s degree on May 7, 1982. While going to school and pursuing his career, he and his beautiful bride, Carolann Bailey, got married on June 12, 1976. He became a Certified Public Accountant on September 14, 1983, and in 1984, he courageously started his own business — a testament to his work ethic, integrity, and commitment to serving others with excellence.

He had a deep love for sports and competition, especially basketball and racquetball, and he never passed up an opportunity to talk about cars. His faith was central to his life. He faithfully served at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, where he was a dedicated member of the team entrusted with counting the weekly collection. He also generously gave his time to HOPE (Helping Other People in Emergencies), always willing to help those in need.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Carolann Baldassari, his children, Valerie Rose Kaiser, Jena Baldassari (Chris) Piazza, Emily (Scott) Weiss and Brianna Rose Baldassari; his grandchildren Noah and Nathan Kaiser; Makayla, Emma, and Olivia Piazza; and Leah Jean Weiss; his three brothers, Philip Joseph (Natalie); John Michael (Linda); Joseph James (Dolores); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Joseph and Jennie Rose Baldassari.

His faith guided him, his integrity defined him, and his love for his family was unwavering. He led by example, worked with diligence, and gave of himself generously. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, the family requests donations be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church or Malvern Retreat House.

A viewing will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church located at 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446 on Saturday, February 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m.

Angel of God, my guardian dear,

to whom God’s love commits me here,

ever this day be at my side,

to light and guard,

to rule and guide.

Amen.

  4. We were so saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. Our professional relationship spanned over a period of 45 years. We continued to visit with Jim annually for his accounting services from five different states over the years. It was a tradition that we looked forward to, and he will be sorely missed. Although our dealings with Jim were more of a professional nature, we could tell from our conversations how dedicated he was to his profession, family, and faith. He was one of the nicest people we have encountered in our life. Rest in Peace, Jim. God bless, Carol.

  11. I met Jim in June 2022, on the racquetball court. Definitely a competitor and such a nice person to be around. This past Tuesday as our group got ready to play and those who were not aware, learned of Jim’s passing, the mood was somber with disbelief, but we proceeded to play, as I’m sure Jim would have wanted. To his family and friends, my heartfelt condolences. Jim, may the Lord provide you with the ultimate court to play out the game. Rest in peace my friend.
