Helen Carol Ulmer
June 9th, 1937 – March 1st, 2026

Helen was born in Philadelphia on June 9th, 1937 to the late Helen and Charles Lible. In her youth, she lived with her parents in Delaware, where she developed passion for clamming with her father. A fond memory she carried with her all her life.

Helen was known to all as a kind and gentle soul. She truly had the biggest heart and was loved for always welcoming friends and strangers alike with her heartwarming smile. While her spirit was sweet, she had a surprising strength famously shown in her ability to lift and move a Kitchen Aid mixer all by herself, testament to her quiet power she carried throughout her 88 years.

As the beloved wife of the late Theodore C. Ulmer, whom she wed in 1974, Helen’s life was defined by her home and family. As a stay-at-home mother, she was always the steady heart of her household, pouring her energy into raising her two sons. Her creativity was a constant thread in her life; She was a gifted artist who found peace in drawing and sewing, crafting a life as beautiful as her work.

Helen was preceded in death by her late husband, Theodore C. Ulmer; parents, Helen and Charles Lible; her beloved son Earle Gordon Melrath III; and her brother, Charles Walter Lible Jr.

Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and family devotion will be carried on by her two sons, Christopher and Kyle Melrath. One of the greatest lights of her life began as an amazing grandmother and great-grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory and her radiant smile.
