Kathleen M. (Scanlan) Picozzi–1/29/2026

Kathleen M. (Scanlan) Picozzi, of Hatfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Norristown on November 13, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Elizabeth (Deegan) Scanlan. She was the beloved wife of James R. Picozzi, to whom she was married for 63 years.

Kas was a 1960 graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for 25 years at Michener Tire Service. She was a loving, caring, and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all, as well as a tireless volunteer in the community, serving as a member of the Hatfield Ladies Auxiliary (1977-1983, President ‘82) and a volunteer with the Hatfield Area Little League (1974-1981). Kas was proud of her Irish heritage and had the chance to visit Ireland numerous times with her extended family and friends. She was generous, kind, and had a great sense of humor. She loved to laugh with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Kas is survived by her sons, Joe (Lisa), Anthony (Margaret), Michael (Heather), and her daughter Kathleen Burns (Brian); 14 grandchildren: Anthony, Rachael, Sarah, Vincent, Nicholas, Mary, Grace, Katherine, Mia, Joe, Abigail, Jack, Evan, and Colin. She is also survived by her brothers Robert (Jane) and Michael (Susan), and sister-in-law Kathleen Scanlan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James, her brothers and their spouses: Roger (Mary Frances), George, Phillip (Connie), John, and William (Sandra), and her sister, MaryAnn Romberger (Floyd).

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9-10:50 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale. The Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the viewing at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, DeKalb Street, Norristown.
