John Francis Cullen
(1946–2026)
John Francis Cullen, 80, of Lansdale, PA, passed away peacefully at his home in Lansdale, PA, on April 25, 2026. Born on February 13, 1946, John was the youngest of five children born to Edward P. and Julia (Leahy) Cullen.
Raised in Yeadon, PA, he attended St. Louis Catholic Elementary School, Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School and later Saint Joseph’s University. His commitment to education and professional growth led him to earn his MBA from Ursinus College.
While John’s professional and educational accomplishments were many, his crowning achievement was his family.
John’s life was defined by his loving marriage he shared with Judith Lynn. He found the love of his life, Judy, while they were still teenagers; a connection that would shape the next six decades of his life. They were married on August 10,1968, starting on a journey that saw them grow up together, build a home, and raise a family. For nearly 50 years, John and Judy were an inseparable team. They shared the quiet joys of daily life, the pride of raising their children, and the quiet contentment of watching their grandchildren grow. Though Judy passed away in November 2017, he carried her memory with him every day, missing her dearly and never missing an opportunity to tell everyone he spoke to just how lucky he felt to have known, loved, and been loved by her.
He is survived by his six children, who were his greatest pride: Amy Herron (Matthew), John Cullen (Carroll), Allison Latzo (Joseph), Mary Garner (Michael), Kristin Kornock (Kevin), and Timothy Cullen. He was a family man, finding his greatest joy in the company of Judy, his children, his 12 grandchildren, and his four sons-in-law and daughter-in-law. To John, his family was his true treasure.
John was a storyteller who believed that the best moments in life were those shared over a long meal and hearty laughter. He shared conversation, friendship and laughs very easily and he had a unique ability to make friends feel like family and family feel like the center of the world.
Some of his happiest memories were made in Ocean City, NJ. John loved sharing his beach house with those he loved, spending countless hours on the sand and the boardwalk, soaking in the salt air and the joy of a house full of people.
He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and loyalty to those he held dear. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to hear one of his stories and spend time with him.
Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning, May 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446, where there will be a Viewing from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, in the Church Narthex, prior to Mass.
