Lucrecia Nereida (nee Hernandez) Cyze, age 91, of North Wales, Pa., passed away December 6, 2023.

Lucrecia, also known as Lucy, Nery, or Aya, was born November 23, 1932, in Guanabacoa, Cuba, to parents, Sixto Hernandez and Brígida Maria Mandina. She was married to Luis Ruz from 1955-1980 and to Robert Cyze from 1985 to 2001. She has one surviving sibling, Nora Correa. She is predeceased by her husband Robert, brother, Nestor and sister, Nilda McNaughton.

She is survived by her two daughters, Magdalena Ruz Gonzalez (Frank) and Miriam Nuccio (Charles); grandchildren, James B. Hoppe, (Connie Chappell Hoppe), Nicholas J. Nuccio (Mary Jo Austin Nuccio), Anthony L. Nuccio (Valerie Roche Nuccio); and great-grandchildren, Skyler J. Hoppe, and Audrey R. and Norah G. Nuccio.

Mrs. Cyze left Cuba, married with a 2 month-old infant, to start a new life in the United States. Her family lived in Chicago before coming to North Wales.

She was employed as a hairdresser. She enjoyed hobbies of sewing, painting, and especially still life art.

A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family, Monday, December 11, 2023.
