Charles James Corrado, Jr.—2/14/2018

Charles J. Corrado, Jr., age 69, a lifelong resident of Lansdale passed away after a brief and sudden illness on Wednesday morning, February 14, 2018.

He was the beloved son of Clara Lorraine (nee. Saldutti) Corrado, with whom he lived. His father, Charles James Corrado, preceded him in 1968.

Mr. Corrado was a graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School, where he excelled in the classroom and as an athlete, playing football, basketball and track. After High School he went on to attend East Stroudsburg University, where he played football on the schools undefeated Championship Team. At a reunion for this team just two years ago, he was welcomed back as a returning hero.

Charles started his teaching and coaching career after college at Archbishop Kennedy High School and touched the lives of countless students until his retirement in 2005.

Mr. Corrado was always a lot of fun and truly enjoyed being with family and helping people.

Charles loved all of the performing arts, this passion led him to a part-time acting career where he appeared in film and TV shows such The Silver Linings Playbook and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He took life with enthusiasm and great spririt! In addition to his mother he is survived by his loving nephews George Koder and Michael Koder (Karen), and great nephews, Brandon, Maxwell, and Michael Koder. Charles, in addition to his father, was also preceded by his sister Sandy and her husband, George, and his niece, Shawna (wife of his nephew, George).

Relative and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Sunday evening, February 18, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM, at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale and a second viewing, Monday morning, February 19, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale which will be followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
