Harry Frederick “Fred” Gebbie, 66, of Pennsburg, Pa., died Saturday, May 21, 2022.
He was a loving husband to Mary Jo Gebbie for 41 years.
Mr. Gebbie had three adoring daughters: Alicia Krakau and her husband Andrew, Lindsay Spear and her husband Kevin and Megan Gebbie and her partner Bobby Leach.
He was born March 17, 1956, in Stroudsburg, Pa. to the late Harry F. Gebbie, Sr. and Margaret S. Gebbie. He had four siblings, Jerry and his wife Mandy, Trudy and Tom Gebbie and the late Margaret (Maggie) Ousey.
There are two granddaughters: Alyssa Swierzawski (Gebbie) and Caraline Leach.
Fred is survived by many nieces and nephews and his brother-in-law, Tom Ousey..
He graduated from Lansdale Catholic in 1974. He played on the High School football team and also played Connie Mack baseball.
Mr. Gebbie was an automotive technician for 40 plus years at the family owned and operated business, Gebbie’s Autocare, which served the community until 2018.
Fred loved the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and Phillies and was a devoted Penn State football fan. He enjoyed leading the Eagles fight song anywhere. He enjoyed brewing his own beer, camping, fishing, had a lifelong passion for trains, both big and small. He loved history, sci-fi, and horror movies. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Mary Jo and family will be honoring Freddie’s final wish. A celebration of life will be held 5PM-9PM, on Friday June 10, 2022, at the Upper Gwynedd Township Fire Hall. (On Garfield Avenue in West Point)
