Michael J. Horace Sr., 74, passed away on March 22, 2026.

Born on July 25, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Michael built a life rooted in family, dedication, and the simple joys of everyday living. He shared 48 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Christine (nee Fonda) Horace, a partnership marked by deep love and steadfast support.

He was the cherished son of the late George and Patricia Horace and was predeceased by his sister, Sue Horace. Michael is survived by his sisters, Patti (Stephen) Flannery and Joanne (Joe) Kennedy.

A devoted father, Michael is survived by his five children: Karen (Charlie) Cole, Marlene (Andrew) Szczepanek, Aimee (Tim) Weston, Michael Jr. (Angela) Horace, and Kim (David) Seibel. He took great pride in his family and the values he passed on to his children.

Michael was a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan and rarely missed a game. Sundays during football season were a treasured tradition filled with enthusiasm for his team. He was also actively involved in his community as a leader of his son’s Boy Scout troop and football coach.

Michael had a gift for making others feel welcome and valued. He treasured his friendships, enjoyed the company of others, and created many lasting memories filled with laughter and good times. He also found great joy in gardening, tending to beautiful flowers that brightened the front yard and warmly welcomed all who visited. His backyard garden offered a space for enjoyment and reflection.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, his warmth, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.

In addition to his wife and children, Michael is survived by his eleven grandchildren—Bryan, Gabriel, Matthias, Julia, Marissa, Sophia, Matthew, Collin, Hayden, Abby, and Avery—and his six great-grandchildren—Eleanor, Greta, Bennett, Blair, Micah, and Jesse. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446, where his family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:15 AM, in Church, prior to Mass.

Inurnment will be in the St. Stanislaus Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that he be remembered by spending time with loved ones, sharing laughter, and cherishing friendships in his honor.
