John Patrick Haughton–9/17/2025

John Patrick Haughton, 78, of Philadelphia, passed away on September 17th, 2025.

Pat was born on August 19th,1947 to Kathryn and Stephen Haughton in Philadelphia. Pat was predeceased by brother James and sister Catherine; survived by siblings Stephen, Nancy, and Sr. Constance R.S.M. Pat graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School and studied voice at Temple University before joining the United States Navy. After his service he graduated from La Salle University.

Pat married Blanche Goffredo Haughton in 1972. He is survived by his wife Blanche, their four sons Patrick and his wife Margret, Frank and his wife Lyndsey, Joseph and his wife Melinda, and Anthony and his fiance Fatima. Pat is also survived by his grandchildren James, Ella, Garrett, Katelyn, and William. 

Pat was a very successful regional manager in the medical sales industry for 40 years. His unique tenor voice graced the stages of Huntingdon Valley Dinner Theatre, the Kelly Street Chorus, and all of the Haughton family parties. His everlasting faith was the foundation of his devotion to Corpus Christi Church. His singular gift of song permeated the choir, the annual Passion Play, and many Christmas and Easter Vigils. 

He enjoyed fishing, golfing, cooking, playing poker, hosting epic parties, watching sports with family, and visiting with his children and grandchildren. Pat was a master storyteller, had a joke for any occasion, and became instant friends with anyone he met. You could find Pat most days sitting in a lawn chair in the driveway, greeting his neighbors while enjoying a cigar. He quickly became known as the Major of Armstrong Drive.

Relatives and friends are invited to Pat’s Mass of Chrisitan Burial on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:30am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA, where his family will receive friends from 9am to 10:15am, in Church, prior to Mass.
